今日も講義、会議デー！忙しくなる前にNY Todayからひとつ。

Good morning on this warm, breezy Monday.

Whatever happened to winter?

The balmy weather that blessed the weekend continues today, with a high of 74 under partly sunny skies after the present patchy fog burns off.

That will make four straight days with a high of at least 73. The last time that happened was in early October.

Thank the southwest wind that has been blowing gently but steadily our way.

But the show’s about over.

The clouds come back tonight.

burn offは「燃え尽きる」が普通の用法なのでしょうが、面白いことにこのPVには「（霧などがお日様の熱で）消散する」という意味もあります。Websterには"to be dissipated by the sun's warmth"とあります。

日光の（暖かさ）で霧がburn offするという発想、英語的ですね。burnというのはなにも紙などが燃えるような状態だけを指すのではありません。

さて１限目は１年生への授業。burn outしないようにがんばりましょ。（UG）
