同じく先程のニュースからです。
tack onは過去にも取り上げられているので復習程度です。(cf. tack on - 田邉祐司ゼミ 常時英心：言葉の森から)辞書を引いて確認してみるとこのPVは「（くだけて）（やらなくてもよいのにわざわざ）A<物>を付け加える、添える」（『Wisdom英和辞典(第3版)』三省堂）となります。LDOCEには ‘to add something new to something that is already complete, especially in a way that looks wrong or spoils the original thing’ と説明がありました。今後とも様々な議論が予想される法律ですね。(Shou-VR*)
Op-Ed: Apple refusal to unlock dead mum’s iPad is lousy law
If that were me, I’d tack on an order for damages for stress and aggravation caused by Apple’s policies. I doubt if I’d be alone.
