古い記事からで恐縮ですが，昨日上げた”walk away from”と近い意味をUG先生に教えていただいたので上げます。見出しに出てくる”stay away from”は「離れて近づかない，避ける」という意味になります(『Wisdom英和辞典（第三版）』（三省堂）)。意味から考えると”walk”の方は，「その場から立ち去る」という感じで，”stay”の方は離れている場所から近づかないようにする」というニュアンスでしょうか。”walk away from”と合わせて覚えようと思いました。（Ume）
