日本政府はビッドコイン仲介業を行うMtGoxの調査に乗り出しました。記事の中に出てくる”ripple”が気になりました。Wisdom英和辞典（第三版）』（三省堂）によると「さざ波，小波」などの他に「（感情・反応・衝撃が）波紋のようにひろがる，伝播する」という意味がありました。波紋という漢字から，ある減少に対して衝撃が全体的に広がっていくというイメージが伝わると思います。（Ume）
Japan probing bitcoin exchange after huge reported theft
TOKYO —
Japanese authorities were Wednesday probing the troubled MtGox bitcoin exchange after claims of a multi-million dollar theft from its digital vaults, as U.S. prosecutors reportedly served a subpoena on the company.
The moves came the day after the website of Tokyo-based MtGox went dark, possibly heralding huge losses for investors, and sending ripples of alarm throughout the global community of digital currency adopters.
