draw to the button

女子カーリングで日本が世界ランキング５位の中国を破ったという速報がウェブ上では流れていますが，今回は日本が敗れてしまったカナダ戦の記事から英語表現を拾います。
今回採り上げるのはdraw to the buttonという表現。drawもbuttonも何気ない単語ですが，カーリングの専門用語でdrawは「円の中心にストーンを止める」，buttonは「円の中心」という意味で，ここでは「中心を狙った一投」と解釈できます。
実際，日本カーリング協会のHPにあった「カーリング規則　英語版」では以下のように解説していました。
draw：A stone which stops inside or in front of the house
button：The small circle at the centre of the house.

Unbeaten Canada rolls Japan
SOCHI (AP)—Canada virtually sealed its place in the semifinals of the women’s Olympic curling tournament by beating Japan 8-6 on Saturday for a sixth straight win.
…At 5-4 down after five ends, Canada blanked the sixth and then scored two points in the seventh. In the eighth end, Japan skip Ayumi Ogasawara was heavy with her draw to the button and the Canadians stole a crucial point.
