タイプライターに関する話です。
記事に出てくる“dispatch”には「派遣する」以外にも，「（軍隊・政府の）公文書」という意味がありました。
タイプライターは昔の技術ですが未だに重要であると思います。例えばロシアでは公文書を作るときはタイプライターを使っていると書かれていました。コンピュータを使うと情報が外部に漏れる恐れがあるからです。機密性が重視される”dispatch”にとってタイプライターは有用な機械である思いました。（Ume）
