先程と同じニュースの記事から英語の落ち穂拾いをします。
shoalは以前ブログの記事中にも記述がございますので併せてご一読頂ければと思います。(cf. cephalopod - 田邉祐司ゼミ 常時英心：言葉の森から) shoalは「浅瀬」や「洲」でお馴染みかと思いますが赤字の箇所は「（魚の）群れ（school）」（『ジーニアス英和辞典 第３版』大修館）となります。同書の例文にも目を向けてみますとa shoal of fishで「魚の群れ」と掲載されていました。(Shou-VR*)
