recycle bin / trash can (box)

昨日WindowsとMacintosh上でのゴミ箱をなんと表現するのかをUG先生とお話させて頂いた際調べておくようにと仰せつかりました。

早速調べてみますとWindowsではrecycle binで“In computing, the trash (also known as the recycle bin and by other names) is temporary storage for files that have been deleted in a file manager by the user, but not yet permanently erased from the file system. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recycle_Bin_(Windows)#Microsoft_Windows)となります。

一方Macintoshの場合はtrash can (box) Microsoft first implemented the "trash can" concept in MS-DOS 6, under the name Delete Sentry: When a file was deleted, it was moved to a hidden SENTRY folder at the root of the drive(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recycle_Bin_(Windows)#Microsoft_Windows)となります。 (Shou-VR*)
