この論文の中に”sit on their(one’s) laurels”という表現がありました。意味を『Wisdom英和辞典（第三版）』（三省堂）で調べると「（過去の栄光に満足して）精進を怠る」という言葉が出てきました。以前のブログでは同じ意味で”rest on his laurels”が紹介されております。rest on one’s laurels - 田邉祐司ゼミ 常時英心：言葉の森から1日，1日少しでもいいので成長していきたいです。（Ume）
