Jessica Simpson's 1-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew may have a new baby brother, but the adorable tot is clearly still the apple of mom's eye.
Simpson, 33, posted a picture perfect snapshot of her little girl to Twitter on Saturday, declaring that her daughter is "crazy beautiful" — and with good reason.
やはり海外の子供は小さいころから顔が整っていますね。今回注目するのはthe apple of one's eyeです。英検2級によく出題されるフレーズですが，これは少し古い言い回し。意味は「（人が）非常に大切にしているもの、秘蔵っ子」とありました(『ジーニアス英和辞典』第四版、大修館)。
今回の場合、第二子が生まれるJessica Simpsonですが、いまだに一人目の娘はかわいく大切だということでしょうか。まだまだ先の話ですが、私もdoting parentになりそうでこわいです。（Sugar）
