Keeping Young

Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. Youth is not a time of life. It is a state of mind. It is enthusiasm in anything we do. We grow old when we lose our freshness of mind. We grow old when we give up our ideals in life.

Years may wrinkle the skin and turn the hair gray, but to lose enthusiasm and self-confidence wrinkles the soul. Worry, doubt, fear and despair weaken the heart and spirit.
Whether we are seventy or seventeen, we should keep in our heart the love of wonder, the amazement at the stars, and the desire to learn new things. By doing this I believe we can always keep young.
