２０１１年のクライスト・チャーチで起きた大地震の１０日後に東日本大震災が起きたことから、近頃、よからぬ噂が出回っています。このところのNZでの群発地震のあとに確かに北半球のこちらでも再び揺れはじめた感じがしますが、どうなのでしょう。人の群れ、虫の群れを数量形容詞にするswarm of。いやな表現ですが、「地震の巣」などのように地震は昆虫とも関係があるのでしょうか。（Nat）

Another swarm of quakes hits central NZ

A swarm of earthquakes have hit New Zealand overnight.

Five aftershocks jolted central New Zealand with the strongest, a magnitude 4.9 hitting just before 1am.

The quake was centred 25km south-east of Seddon at a depth of 22km.

Several aftershocks followed, with the largest being a 4.5 magnitude quake at 6.38am this morning.
It was located 30km east of Seddon at a depth of 17km.
