The conference, the fifth of its kind sponsored by Kikkoman, will explore the similarities and differences in the economic experiences of the two countries during the past several years and how each is dealing with those difficulties. Conference participants will focus on innovations in international economic development that could increase growth in the global economy.
The conference will be co-sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. Yuzaburo Mogi, honorary chief executive and chairman of the board of Kikkoman Corp and Kikkoman Foods Inc, will represent Kikkoman.

今回取り上げる表現はchairman of the boardです。boardといえば、「板」のイメージですが、ここでは「会議、委員会、重役」の意味で使われています。（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第4版』大修館）そのまま直訳すると「委員会の会長」のようになりますが、英辞郎on the webには「取締役会長」という訳がありました。ちなみにchief executiveもいわゆるCEO、「最高経営責任者」のことだそうです。
