one-offを取り上げます。これは主にイギリスで用いられる表現で、「１回｛個｝限りの（もの）、１人のための（もの）」（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第３版』大修館）という意味になります。CDOを当たってみると’ something that happens or is made or done only once’とあり、さらにLDOCEでも調べてみると’happening or done only once, not as part of a regular series’と定義されていました。余談になりますが、アメリカ英語ではone-shotと表記するので、こちらも併せて覚えておこうと思います。 (Shou-VR*)
