先ほどと同じ記事から表現を拾います。非難された店側の主張です。
"Who decides which animals are worthy? If the argument is that a lion is 'majestic' so you shouldn't breed them for meat consumption -- then what is the lesson here? ここで気になったのはslaughter penという表現です。penというとすぐに「ペン、筆」を思い浮かべてしまいますが、ここでは「（家畜を入れる）おり、囲い」という意味で使われています。（『ウィズダム英和辞典　第３版』三省堂）slaughterには「（食用動物の）屠殺、畜殺」といった意味があります。（ibid）つまり、slaughter penで「畜殺用のおり」という意味になります。(Jakie)
