面白い試みです。「現代人が歴史的偉人を忠実に再現したら、どのような姿になるのか」という試みがイングランドのテレビ番組で放送されます。例えば、ネルソン提督の階級を現代の階級に当てはめるとデスク・ワーク中心になるため、絵よりも少しふくよかな姿になり右手は義手をはめる、などです。赤字のdesk-bound(deskbound)はまさに「机にしばられる」→「デスク・ワークばっかり」という意味で使用されています。(Othello)
