The Independentらしいニュースがありました。サッチャー元首相の死に関連して『オズの魔法使い』で使用された“Ding-Dong! The Witch is Dead”やElvis Costelloがサッチャー元首相を批判した曲が再びチャートに現れたようです。
面白いのは、「オズの国」を牛耳る悪い魔女と「鉄の女」サッチャー元首相が、少なくとも当時を知るイングランドの国民の間では繋がりを見いだせているということです。本当に映画のような場面なのかわかりませんが、トーリー派の新聞には載らないであろうニュースなのでシェアしました。(Othello)

Those who saw her death as a cause for celebration have prompted a download surge for the track.
Within 24 hours of the former Prime Minister’s death, the song had risen to number 9 in the iTunes best-sellers chart. It reached number 2 on the Amazon singles download chart.
