さて、The Economistの記事の中見出しから英語表現を拾います。赤字のa spoke in the wheelは、本来put a spoke in the wheelの形で使われ「人の邪魔をする」という意味のidiomです(『リーダーズ英和辞典』)。ここでは「ハブ化しつつあるロンドンの空港に対し、少し反対意見を述べてみる」という意味合いの中見出しとして使用されています。(Othello)
