最近スキャンダルだらけのジャスティンですが、今度は近隣住民への暴行容疑で取り調べを受けているようです。
Justin Bieber Being Investigated for Battery
Justin Bieber is being investigated for allegations of misdemeanor battery and making threats following a verbal altercation with a neighbor, a law enforcement official told ABC News.
L.A. County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told ABC News that the incident took place at 9 a.m. today at the singer’s home in Calabasas, Calif.

The neighbor told “Good Morning America,” “He’s a punk. He thinks he’s invincible. He can’t continue to have a bunch of enablers around him. It was a very unpleasant and upsetting situation.”
The pop star’s rep did not respond immediately to ABC News’ request for comment.

見出しにあるbatteryですが、もちろん「電池、バッテリー」の意味ではなく、「[法]暴行（罪）」（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第４版』大修館）になります。
またpunkというと「パンクロック」などが思い浮かびますが、「くだらない人間；若僧；ちんぴらやくざ」(ibid)といった意味もあります。

このごろジャスティンの悪いニュースばかり目にします。まだ彼も若いですから、なんとか今のうちに軌道修正してほしいですね。(Hatahata)
