get awayは「逃げる」や「話がそれる」などの意味がありますが、ここでは("get away from me")は主語が"a number of pitch"（「投球数の何球か」）であります。辞書には載っていませんが、「それる」イメージから「球がすっぽ抜ける」という意味になると思いました。(Minnesota)
