speak volumes forは「(…にとって)大いに意味がある, (…を)証して余りがある, (…を)雄弁に物語る」という意味(『新英和中辞典』第2版、研究社)です。wikitionaryには"(idiomatic) To express more than one actually said.(usually with about) To extend beyond the immediate topic under discussion"という定義が載せられていました。以上の事から拙訳いたしますと、「言った事以上の意味を含んでいる」といった訳になるのでしょうか。(EnDough)
