Braff's breakthrough role as intern Dr. Dorian on "Scrubs" earned him an Emmy nod and three Golden Globe nominations. The movie, which grossed $35 million at the box office, drew praise from critics and earned Braff a Grammy for best soundtrack for the album, which he compiled. Braff went on to direct several music videos, including one for his friend Joshua Radin. Earlier this fall, it was announced that ABC had picked up Braff's comedy "Garage Bar," which he will write, executive-produce and direct. It's about a group of friends who discover the good and bad sides of fame when one of them hits it big in the music industry. The 37-year-old actor-director has been dating model Taylor Bagley since 2009.
