Japanese women in love with virtual perfect man

A new trend is seizing Japanese middle-aged women who don’t have the time or energy to develop a relationship in the real life: “love games” apps.
By using role-playing “love games”, Japanese single and busy women can spend time with a virtual Mr Right, without having to deal with a real person.
“In the game, you’re the lone woman, and the attention of all the guys is on you”, said “han-kura”, a 37-year-old office worker who uses these games, quoted by the international press.
The characters in “love games” are based on manga comics, with all the men fit, elegant and attractive. The player becomes the main character and chooses “Mr Right” from several “knights in shining armor”. Then they develop a relationship based on the choices made in the storyline.
The apps, available on smartphones, are a hit among middle-aged women whose work schedule is too busy and who don’t have the time or energy to meet a partner in the real life.
Because of attracting many female users, “love games” seem to be a breakthrough in the video game industry. This market has been followed so far mainly by men. The sector based on such love simulation games grew by 30% with 14.6 billion yen in sales in 2011, according to Yano Research Institute.
Each game comes in several episodes and the price of every episode is around Y500.

みなさんご存じかもしれませんが、Mr.[Miss]Rightとは成句で「夫[妻]としてふさわしい人、未来の夫[妻]」という意味があります。（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第３版』）他にもネットで調べたところ、Mr.Right「(結婚相手として）理想の男性」とあり、その反対はMr.Wrongと言うそうです。(「プログレッシブ英和中辞典」)

rightには「(物・人・事が)[人・物・事に/…するのに]（最も）適切な、適当な、ふさわしい」という意味がありますが（『ジーニアス英和辞典　第３版』）、これにMr.[Ms.]をつけて「理想の人」と表現するのはおもしろいなと思いました。

最近こういったゲームのCMをよく見る気がします。
