roseはもちろんriseの過去分詞形で自動詞で「上がる」ですが、ここでは文脈的にコーナキックの際のセルヒオ・ラモス選手の事を言っているので「(攻撃の為に)上がってきた」というニュアンスでしょうか。riseが「(あるポジションから)上がる」という意味で使われるのは意外でしたが、riseの語彙イメージ の一つとして「空間を下から上へ移動する」というイメージ(『ジーニアス英和辞典』第4版、大修館書店)があるので、納得しました。

ちなみにbe rooted to the spotは「その場に釘付けになる」という意味(ibid)が転じて「立ちすくむ」という意味(weblio辞書)があります。rootに関する表現は以前先輩が取り上げておられるので、そちらもどうぞ。(EnDough)
