例のニセ医者のニュースに関して、see a doctorで「医者に診てもらう」ということは知っていましたが、「医者（正確には医師）が人を診る」という場合にもseeが使えるのですね。自分だったら健康診断なので、checkとか言ってしまいそうですが、seeにはexamineの意味もあるので、そう言われてみればと納得した次第です。（GP）

Arrested fake doctor saw over 10,000 patients

YOKOHAMA -- A man arrested for posing as a doctor and conducting health checks without a license worked at a clinic here and saw 11,115 patients in the metropolitan area, municipal government officials said.

According to the city's medical care and safety department, from March 26, 2011, to Sept. 7 this year, Miyabi Kuroki worked at Shimizubashi Clinic in the city's Konan Ward. Kuroki visited 279 workplaces in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Saitama prefectures to see patients. He worked for 81 days and received somewhat under 6 million yen in salary.

On Sept. 26, the city conducted an on-site investigation at the clinic, based on information received from the prefectural government and others. The city instructed the clinic to check original medical licenses from now on, and the health center is contacting patients who were seen by the doctor.
