イチロー、黒田選手ともにがんばっていますね。take a huge hack（「〜に大きく切り込む」）も気になるかもしれませんが、pushing 40も捨てがたい。
これは日本語の「アラフォー」に近い表現で、「〜代に手が届く」「まもなく〜代」という意味です。わたしの場合は、２桁上です...。pushのこういう使い方にも慣れてくださいね。
あっ、書くのを忘れていましたが無事、帰京しました。
