白鵬が春場所を制し，22度目の優勝を果たしました。今回は磐石の横綱相撲での優勝ではなく，一回破れた鶴竜にリベンジをしての逆転優勝（come-from-behind win）でした。この様子はtasted the sweetest revengeと表現されています。
