flagged offside

イタリアサッカーリーグSerie Aの首位争いAC Milan対Juventusは1対1の引き分けに終わりました。同点ゴールを決めたJuventusのMatriは，試合中しばしばオフサイドになっていましたが，「オフサイドになる」をFIFA.comでは2種類の英語で表現していました。

1つ目はbe adjudged to be offside，「オフサイドの判定を受ける」と訳す事が出来ます。adjudgeは法律関係で良く使われる単語なので，ここではオフサイドになったという事実を描写されているような気がします。

Matri then appeared to have equalised after finding the bottom right-hand corner, but he was flagged offside. However, Matri then levelled with a close-range volley from Simone Pepe's cross although the point was overshadowed by Vidal's lunge on Van Bommel and subsequent red card.

一方こちらはbe flagged offside，「オフサイドの旗を上げられた」となっています。副審にオフサイドの旗をバサッと上げられている情景を描写しているのでしょう。

映像を見ていないのでここからは推測ですが，1つ目は「主審か副審がオフサイドと判断し主審が笛を吹いた」と考えられ，2つ目は「副審が旗を上げて主審が笛を吹いた」と言えます。一つの事象でも比較して見ると，面白い発見がありますね。（Sugiuchi）
