Although Haile Gebrselassie has competed in other parts of Japan, the Ethiopian superstar had long wanted to race in Tokyo. A year after his first attempt was sidetracked by injury, he will get his chance.

Gebrselassie headlines the field for Sunday's Tokyo Marathon, which will give him a chance to win in the city where legendary predecessor Abebe Bikila won his second straight Olympic gold medal at the 1964 Tokyo Games.
