今回注目するのはaccording to以下のthe common wisdom on tech blogsが何を指しているのかです。まずcommonは「一般的な，よく知られた，共通の，公共の」という意味で知られています（『ジーニアス英和辞典』第4版，大修館書店）。またwisdomは「賢明，知恵，分別，見識；通念」と習いました（『リーダーズ英和辞典』第2版，研究社）。そしてLDOCEに載っていたcommon knowledgeの定義も参考にしました。LDOCEによると，something everyone knowsとありました。以上のことから，the common wisdom on tech blogsは「複数のブログ上で採りあげられた，共通の考え」であることがわかります。ここでwisdomが使われた要因として，wiseに「知識や経験が豊か」という意味が含まれているからではないでしょうか（『ジーニアス英和辞典』同上）。

余談ですが，そもそもaccording to〜には2つの用法があり，1つ目はエキスパートの意見，2つ目は皮肉が〜の部分にきます。今回の場合1つ目のエキスパートの意見が当てはまると考えられます。このことから，technologyに関する記事を書いた方々は非常に知識が豊富であることがわかります。（ゼミ生　Lbow-Shoulder）
