今回はoverhaul /òʊvɚhˈɔːl/ を紹介します。文脈から「調査」と推測しました。
『ジーニアス英和辞典』第４版（大修館）には動詞で「…を分解点検[修理]する, …を詳しく調べる, 精査する」とあり、名詞で「[…の]分解点検, 整備；総点検」とありました。Merriam-Websterには “to examine thoroughly” と定義されています。
つまり記事では「迅速な調べ」といった解釈ができるのではないでしょうか。
またカタカナ英語としても馴染みがある表現で、時計やカメラの「修理」という意味で使われます。(amphibian)
