Lecture at Kanda: My share

I went out to Kanda Campus, Senshu University to attend an academic lecture entitled "The great anticlockwise shift: British vowels since RP". Dr. Geoff Lindsey, Director of the University College London's SCEP", was a speaker.

His English was really beautiful and clear, and the way he spoke was kind to us, non-native speakers of English. However, there were many parts that I didn't get because of my insufficient knowledge of English pronunciation.

Having said so,I learned a little about the evolution of British vowels. Along with his historical accounts, Dr. Linsey introduced some famous phoneticians. I absorbed much knowledge of English phonetic history.

Throughout the lecture, I felt good in that I was exposed to a high-level academic atmosphere. If possible, I would like to attend another academic lecture of his again. (amphibian)
