　leverage /lév(ə)rɪdʒ/ を取り上げます。まず形がlevelに似ているなと感じましたが、意味は似ていなさそうです。文脈から、「利用する」という意味ではないかと考えました。
　まず『ウィズダム英和辞典』には、「〈企業など〉に借入金で投資する」とあります。この定義だといまいちしっくりこないのでLDOCEも引いたところ、“to spread or use resources (= money, skills, buildings etc that an organization has available), ideas etc again in several different ways or in different parts of a company, system etc”と定義されていました。これらの定義を踏まえると、記事の中ではロボットやAIの技術を生活を良くするために「活かす」という意味で使われているのではないかと思います。(Blue Sky)
