　気になった単語はcircadian /sɚkéɪdiən/ です。どのような意味になるのかはわかりませんが、文脈から“circadian clock”は周期を表しているのではないかと考えました。
　『ウィズダム英和辞典』を引いたところ、「24時間(周期)の｟体調のリズムなど｠」とありました。また、LDOCEでは“relating to a period of 24 hours, used especially when talking about changes in people’s bodies”と定義されています。インターネットで検索してみたところ、circadian rhythmは「概日リズム」という意味だとわかりました。概日リズムとは、一般的には「体内時計」として認識されているものです。(Blue Sky)
