今回はsit on death rowを紹介します。うまく訳すことができませんでしたので、調べてみました。

手持ちも紙辞書に載っていなかったので『英辞郎 on the WEB』で調べたところ、「死刑囚として収監されている」とありました。
sitには他動詞で「…を収容する」という意味があり、またon death rowで「死刑囚監房の入っている」という意味になります。
ニュアンスとして「死の列に収容する」で上記に意味になるのではないでしょうか。つまり、この記事では加害者のことを指していることがわかります。(amphibian)
