Project to move expressway over Nihonbashi bridge approved
A plan to move an unloved 1.2-kilometer section of the Metropolitan Expressway over Tokyo’s picturesque Nihonbashi bridge underground has been given the official green light, a panel announced May 22.
The elevated section, part of the route between the Kandabashi junction and the Edobashi junction, is to be replaced with an approximately 700-meter tunnel that will connect to a 500-meter underground tunnel on the Yaesu route, which has been already constructed nearby, as a bypass.

また、LDOCEでは“raised off the ground or higher up than other things”と定義されています。
そこで、LDOCEのelevatedの項目に戻ってみると、“The train runs on an elevated track.” (Blue Sky)
