Man attacks Tokyo bank manager, steals 11 million yen
A man robbed a Tokyo bank of approximately 11 million yen in cash after assailing the manager as he arrived for work early on May 16, police said.
The manager suffered what appeared to be mild injuries, including to his head. Police are searching for the robber, who escaped following the incident.
The man attacked the 50-year-old manager of Seibu Shinkin Bank's Nishi-Ogikubo branch in Tokyo's Suginami Ward at around 7:55 a.m., as the manager opened the service entrance, hitting him with what appeared to be a metal crowbar, according to investigators.

LDOCEには “a heavy iron bar used to lift something or force it open” と定義されています。
(aqua)
