A member of popular Japanese boy band Tokio has been accused of forcibly kissing a high school girl at his apartment, local media said Wednesday.

裏ゼミで読みました英文記事より、本日取り上げる表現はreferred toです。基本的にはbe referred toで覚えておきます。
ここでまず、『ジーニアス英和辞典』(第五版、大修館書店)を引いてみますと他動詞としての第三義に、「〈人が〉〈問題などを〉[〜に]委託する、委ねる」とありました。しかしながら訳語としてはこれではまだ適切ではありません。
この点に関して、UG先生に「書類送検する」という意味をご教授いただきました。加えて簡潔な表現で表すならば、”be sent to”を用いて”His paper is sent to~”とすることができるとも仰られておりました。
