今回はholiday-studdedを紹介します。本文ではこの単語の後ろにGolden Weekとあったので「連休」を意味するのではないでしょうか。
まず、studded / stʌ́dɪd / を調べると、『ジーニアス英日辞典』第４版（大修館）には「飾りボタンのついた；[…が]混じった」とありました。また、stud / stˈʌd / で「散りばめる」です。このことから「連休」という意味をつかむことができます。
ちなみに、Golden Weekというのは和製英語のため、外国では通じません。また、ニュース番組などを見てもこの表現は使われず、「大型連休」と言われます。なので英語ではconsecutive holiday「連続した休暇」で表現することができます。(amphibian)
