気になったのはcringe / kríndʒ / です。『ジーニアス英和辞典』で調べると「（恐怖などで）すくむ、ちぢこまる」「ぺこぺこする、へつらう」「嫌気がさす」とありました。LDOCEでは“to move away from someone or something because yo are afraid” “to feel embarrassed by something to have said or done because you think it makes you seem silly”と定義されています。少し前のスラングかと思いますが、ドン引きするような居心地の悪さの時などにcringe-worthy が使用されていたようです。(Kiwi girl)
