平昌オリンピックでは、女子フィギュアスケートフリーが行われ、日本の宮原知子選手が四位に入賞しました。

GANGNEUNG — Figure skater Satoko Miyahara landed fourth at the Pyeongchang Olympics on Friday, scoring 146.44 points in a nearly flawless free program for a total of 222.38, both career bests. Kaori Sakamoto came in sixth.

Alina Zagitova of the Olympic Athlete from Russia won the gold at 239.57, followed by Evgenia Medvedeva.

Hailing from Kyoto, Miyahara, 19, won her fourth national title in a row in December to earn a place in her first Olympics. She finished second at the world championships in 2015 and also came in second twice at the Grand Prix Final in 2015 and 2016.
Miyahara suffered a stress fracture in January last year but made a comeback that included winning at the Skate America competition held in late November.

記事について戻ると宮原選手は弱冠19歳ながら、世界四位の演技で我々を魅了してくれました。私もテレビの生中継で観戦していましたが、同選手の演技の美しさに思わず見入ってしまいました。また男子では、羽生結弦選手が66年ぶりの五輪連覇を果たし、日本のフィギュアスケート界は大変な盛り上がりを見せているなと強く感じました。

そして、一度、clavicle fractureを体験した身として今回取り上げた様々なfractureにも気を付けて日々生活したいと思いました。(sixth-dan)
