中学校の教科書編纂にかかわっていますが、レッスンのなかでも人気のある Rosa Parksさんのニューヨークシティ版ともいえる不屈の人物をNew York Today（電子メール版）が取り上げていました。
Ms. Jennings went on to found the city’s first kindergarten for African-American children at her home on West 41st Street. Herstory of defiance may not be widely known, but in 2007 a sign reading “Elizabeth Jennings Place” went up at the corner of Spruce Street and Park Row — 153 years and a few blocks from where she refused to get off the streetcar.
読ませる、興味深い記事ですが、最後の方にherstoryという語がありました。これは「(女性の立場を強調した) 歴史」（Weblio）で、historyとのplay on wordsです（her story/ history --historyの語源を参照のこと）。PC、ジェンダーの運動のなかで大丈夫かなと思っていたら、やはり本紙の記事（ペーパー版）では以下のようにspaceが入れられていました。
