Cairns Day1

Greetings from tropical Down under! I am in Cairns with my friend.

Before checking in at our hotel, we went to Kuranda village by Kuranda Scenic Railway. Kuranda is known for the oldest rainforest in the world. The Railway is popular among Japanese tourists through a TV documentary "Sekai no Shasou Kara" or “See The World By Train”.

It took about 2 hours to the village from Cairns station. On the way, you can see two waterfalls, Stony Creek Falls and Barron falls. The former was just stunning! It was so close to the railway tracks. In the village, there are restaurants and markets. We enjoyed window-shopping and having lunch.

Tomorrow, we are going to go to pools, a zoo and night markets. I want to get over this weariness of the red-eye flight. (flying bird)
