The "Edge The Harukas" attraction entails strolling along a narrow ledge on the top of Abeno Harukas, Japan’s tallest building, and bending over the side to get a dizzying view of the streets below.

It starts March 7, and participants will be allowed to walk on a deck just 60 centimeters in width and 20 meters in length for seven minutes.

Guests, who will be exposed to buffeting winds, will be leashed for safety.

　buffet /bˈʌfɪt/ を取り上げます。名詞では食事をする方のbuffet /bəˈfeɪ/ になりますが、ここではその意味ではうまく合いません。『ライトハウス英和辞典』（第5版）で調べると「（しばしば受身で）1（風、雨、波などが）（…）を打つ、打ちのめす；（…）をもむ　2（運命などが）（人）をもてあそぶ」とありました。

　LDOCEには “if something, especially wind, rain, or the sea, buffets something, it hits it with a lot of force” や “to treat someone unkindly” と定義されています。

　記事には “Guests, who will be exposed to buffeting winds,” とあることから、強い風が体に直撃する様子が伺えます。高いところは好きですが、命綱をつけていてもさすがに怖そうだなと思いました。（aqua）
