9月15日以降ミサイルを発射していなかった北朝鮮ですが、時期を見はらかっていたのでしょうか。

sporadically/spərǽdɪk(ə)li/を取り上げます。『ジーニアス英和辞典』で調べてみると形容詞sporadic で「点在する、ばらばらの、ちりぢりの; 時折の、〈病気が〉散発的な」という意味を持つことがわかりました。つまり副詞だと「散発的に、ときどき」となります。またLDOCEでもsporadicが“happing something; not regular or continuous”と定義さています。
続いて語源ですがラテン語のsporadicusからきています。こちらはギリシャ語のsporadikosが語源だそうです。また以前sporadicは医学用語で「突発性の病気」の意味で使用されていました。
