cerebrospinal /ˌsɛrɪbrə(ʊ)ˈspʌɪn(ə)l/を取り上げます。『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版，大修館）を引いたところ、 「脳脊髄の」などと載っておりました。Oxford Dictionary of English (2th) には、 “relating to the brain and spine”と定義されております。またcerebrospinal fluidで、「脳脊髄液」です。略してCFSとも言われるそうです。
ちなみにcerebroが「脳，大脳」を意味します。元々はラテン語のcerebrumで “brain”という意味だそうです。cerebroが頭につく言葉は他に、cerebroid（「脳に似た」）やcerebronia（「頭脳型性格」）などの専門用語に多くみられます。(Gomez)
