　気になった単語は"brawl"です。『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版、大修館）を参照すると、「（公衆の面前での）騒々しいけんか［口論］」と載っていました。喧嘩と言えば多くの単語を思いつきますが、それぞれの違いはなんなのでしょうか。"fight"は、「戦争、戦い」を表すこともできれば、「口喧嘩」を表すこともでき、幅広く使われます。一方"quarrel"は「（喧嘩を伴わない）口喧嘩、言い争い」を表し、"squabble"は、「（つまらないことで）口論をする」だそうです。"quarrel"よりもフランクに言っているワメージがわきます。(Large Lake)
