SUMO/ Takanoiwa’s medical reports to police, sumo heads differed

A sumo wrestler who fell victim to yokozuna Harumafuji's drunken beating in Tottori late last month initially submitted a differing medical certificate to the prefectural police there excluding the mention of a fractured skull.

However, a fractured skull was among the wide-ranging injuries contained in a medical certificate later worked out by a Fukuoka hospital that Takanoiwa, 27, a maegashira No. 8, submitted to the Japan Sumo Association (JSA), sources said Nov. 16.

　run-inを取り上げます。日馬富士との間で起こったことをさしているところから、口論という意味を思い浮かべました。『ライトハウス英和辞典』（第5版　研究社）で調べると「（略式）（警官などとの）けんか、口論 （with）」とありました。

　LDOCEには “an argument or disagreement, especially with someone in an official position” と定義されています。

　その他にも問題が起こった当時の状況について、ビール瓶を使って殴ったかそうでないかに焦点が当てられています。食い違う主張がはっきりする日はくるのでしょうか。（aqua）
