映画『この世界の片隅に』」のロングバージョンが上映されることが発表されました。
Extended version coming of anime hit ‘Corner of the World’
Production will soon begin on an extended version of the blockbuster 2016 Japanese animated film “Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni” (In This Corner of the World), the film's producer announced Nov. 12.

Non, a Japanese actress who voiced the heroine of the film, Suzu, a young girl, expressed her enthusiasm about the new film, saying, “I am fired up about going all out for making the film.”

“fire up”を取りあげます。なんとなく「やる気がある」といった意味があると予測できますが、『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第五版、大修館書店）で確認すると「（人・気持ち）を奮い立たせる」とありました。Merriam-Websterでも“to fill (someone) with energy or enthusiasm”と定義されています。他にも「始動させる」「掻き立てる」「「カッとさせる」などの意味もあり、いづれも何かを奮起させるニュアンスが含まれるようです。
公開日などはまだ未定ですが、ロングバージョンでは原作からカットされてしまったシーンなどの追加エピソードもあるようです。(flying bird)
