『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第5版，大修館）で調べたところ、「知識人；（けなして）インテリぶる人」、「はげ頭の人」 と載っておりました。Oxford Dictionary of English(Second Edition Reserved, Oxford University Press)にも、 "a highly academic or studious person; an intellectual"と書かれておりました。
またインターネットサイト辞書サイトThe Free Dictionaryによると、 “(Communications & Information) a person whose profile on a social networking site contains the set graphic provided by the site rather than a personal picture”という意味があるとのことで、プロフィール画像が初期設定のひとのことをさすようです。（Gomez）
